Le-Tan’s distinctive, handmade embroidery designs and unique, highly
individualistic world view are popular with many women. The “Minnie
Mouse Loves Dots” collection centers on Minnie’s signature dots and
classic vintage blue dress motif, infused with a fantasy world imagined
by Olympia Le-Tan. “Minnie Mouse Loves Dots” features original design
created specifically for the collection and is inspired by the story of
Minnie Mouse’s making of her own handmade blue dress adorned with her
signature dot pattern.
A
“Minnie Rocks the Dots” event was held on January 17th at the Penthouse
of The Andaz Hotel in West Hollywood, California, at which Minnie Mouse
wore a dress3 specially designed by Ms. Le-Tan. The design
of the blue dress with a dot pattern was inspired by the products in
this collection. "Designing a dress for my favorite childhood icon was
quite an exciting thing to do. I tried to stay true to what Minnie
usually wears but adding my personal touch. The sequins make the dress
rather festive which is great as we are celebrating this new
collaboration," Olympia noted.
1. Collection not available at certain stores.
2. Launch dates vary by region.
3. Dress will not be sold as an actual product.

Le-Tan commented, “I was really excited to work with UNIQLO again. It
was fun doing the first collaboration and I was really happy with the
result, so doing it again, but this time with Minnie Mouse was such a
dream for me! For this collection, we created new artwork and a new
story but with one of the most popular icons ever. For me that’s really
special. We also tried to make it playful and quirky but classic enough
to be wearable by all.”
